This page is strictly for talking about toys that have probably been pushed back to the farthest reaches of some people’s minds. Although I am exaggerating when I say that.

Not too hard: These are things that I never forgot, and with a little prodding the average person can remember as well.

The Heart Family

This one isn’t to hard to recall, they were made by Mattel and most likely sat next to Barbie in the doll aisle of in most toy stores. However this overly sappy, always happy, perfect family probably didn’t last because it was a little too fictional for most girls of the 80’s. Of course I have fond memories of this series since I liked the mother better than Barbie. Of course playing with Fashion dolls wasn’t about having a husband and children. It was about cutting off hair and melting in the sun.

Lady Lovely Locks

It’s not very easy to forget Lady Lovely Locks because she had her own VHS series that could easily be found in a video store during the 80’s and even now if you know where to look. This dolls main appeal was her long colorful hair and equally beautiful friends. But let’s take a moment to analyze Lady Lovely Locks. She has beautiful long hair which she takes very good care of. Except when she’s trapping endangered rodents in it and forcing them to bend to her will. That by far is every little girls dream.

Maxie

Maxie’s World ran on USA’s cartoon express for 2 years, so her doll was fairly popular and wide spread. I personally never had a Maxie doll. I wasn’t fond of Teenage girls, going to the prom and hanging out at the beach. I enjoyed fancy ball gowns and flaming car crashes with Ken instead. After all I knew that when I was older I would never experience such luxuries.

Moon Dreamers

Moondreamers created beautiful dreams for people using the "Imagination Combination." Each doll glowed in the dark and came with a jeweled necklace and flimsy plastic record. Each record contained a short monologue from the doll purchased. On my Moon Dreamer Whimzee's record she talked about a little boy who was deathly afraid of dogs. So she decides to make him a dream in which he becomes a dog. Gotta love Moon Dreamer logic. "I'll turn you into what you're most afraid of".

Rose Petal

I only had one Rose Petal doll, and she was Daffodil. The only memories I have are of cutting off her hair and ripping of her clothes. Next I made her new clothes out of toilet paper. I still need to make it up to Daffodil by buying a new MIB one to keep forever. Anyhow, Rose Petal lived in an enchanted garden where all the flowers came to life after a little girl's tear fell on her. After that it became Rose Petal’s responsibility to keep the garden alive by singing. Where did this story come form? Well from the fully animated video starring the voice of Marie Osmond of course! Don’t every watch this!!!!!!!

Slightly Harder: These are things that I pride myself on not forgetting, but the average person would have a bit of trouble recalling.

Sweet Secrets

This is such a cheap two bit toy that it’s easy to forget. Anyhow Sweet Secrets turned into things like make up, picture frames, jewelry etc.. It’s the type of toy parents bought to shut their kids up in the car. By the time they arrived at home the child is sick of it, and the parent didn’t waste too much money.

Spectra

Are you wracking your brain for this one? I wouldn’t be surprised if you were. Spectra’s story was that she was a wild outer space teenager whom wanted to see how kids on earth had fun. So she brought her 3 best friends and boyfriend with her. I had Spectra and remember loving her dearly, since she had an odd metallic body and cool lace outfit. Since then I have replaced her with a MIB Spectra for a measly $9.99. Of course when I sit down and think about Spectra, I have to wonder what person at Mattel thought the "buffertron bed" was cool, and came up with her bizarre looking accessories.

Keypers

I don’t remember the exact story behind the Keypers, but they pretty much watched over your valuables with their lives (of course if a burglar was to break in he would have no trouble opening your Keyper. A retard would have no problem breaking into a Keyper.)

Fashion Star Fillies

I never got one of these, mostly because I knew that I lacked the creativity and skill to actually create a beautiful horse. Whatever my hands touch becomes a shameful disgrace. Anyhow these horses (Which of course were just another toy in the “girls like horses” line.) could be decorated with glitter, paint and dressed up in all sorts of bright 80’s styles.

Holly Woods

I had one but I know nothing about them other than their hair changed color in the sun. This is also another one of those cheap toys that parents bought to shut their kids up.

Hard! This is stuff that I had trouble remembering or just plain don’t know.

Little Sister and her forest friends: I have no clue what this is. I happened to stumble upon this picture when I was looking at Spectra dolls. Nonetheless its’ also the way I remembered Hollywoods.

Orange Juice

What series does she belong to? Or is she a stand alone?

Wonder Whims

I have no clue what this is. It might be the best thing in the world to someone else though.

Blinkins

Lovable Female bug creatures that were pretty much glow worms with hair. They came in a number of girlish pastel colors and were sometimes hard to sleep with (and I'm speaking from experience) because of their hard plastic flower antennas.

Honey Combs

I only happened to find out about this toy after watching some of my old 80's tapes. There was a commercial for it and for some reason I became intrigued and purchased one for myself. This doll is huge, and although it advertises a scented comb, it smells more like old plastic to me now. Anyhow the story behind these dolls...... actually they don't really have a story you just comb their insanely curly hair and pray to god it doesn't get frizzy.

Lil Miss Magic Everything you can think of!

Lil Miss Magic whatever was a series of dolls, including, Lil Miss Magic Make Up, Dress up, Triple Change make up, Hair, Magic Mermaid etc... With these dolls you could, by the magic of varying degree's of water, change their makeup, skin, hair, clothes, ass, and so forth. Anyhow I remember Lil Miss Magic blank vividly and would put her in the class of easy. I was just to lazy to make this segment at the top of the page.

Help me identify these:

Nothing currently troubling me, that I can form a complete sentence about just now.
